Yeah.. totally jinxed myself with that ANTM thing. Oh well, based on looks Fatima, Katyz, and Dominique have a good chance making the top 3, though I fear Domi will get the "looks too old' edit before she gets there -oh who am I kidding - she'll make it to the top three and that'll be her BS boot-off reasoning a la Cycle 8's Renee (but she was a bitch so who cares about her? :)). Whitney and would've been up there, cause THIS could really be the season for a Plussie and she's pretty.. but I said that last season with Sarah and she was deemed "too skinny" for plus, so Whitney wont win 'cause she's too fat or ugly or another bs reason. Sigh.. ANTM and fairness. It's like an oxymoron :(

I remember why I don't watch Discovery Health often - just when you finish watching one show the damn channel starts another one right after and pulls you in before you can touch the remote. I think between writing 2 papers, cleaning my room, and playing a round of cards I listened/watched 5 hours worth of shows. I'm so not kidding - there was the one on Sun Ming Ming, tallest guy in the world right now, and then one about 2 people who were chemeras (so much for DNA being foolproof -_-), a show on dwarfism in general, then one on conjoined twins and their sister, and finally one on the tallest woman in the world, Yao Defen. Well there went my Sunday... but I was due to watch the channel one more time before Oprah demolishes it with her O.W.N. channel -_-

P.P.S. Had a semi-normal dream where I didn't die! Plusies! And I actually understood what it meant too - double Plusies! Very very easy... I was thinking about 'him' some time before I went to bed (and stole a glance on a public website, before deciding to quit stalking...in more ways than one), so its not uncommon he had a cameo in it. Funny though, our roles were switched from real time... It was SO close to normal though, with only one home, but the basement was merged with the upstairs sitting room, and I did a horrible job 'not noticing' him outside, when irl, I'm so awesome with that subtley ;) Will he show up tonight? We'll see~

...dammit, why do I miss him :(

So after that fiasco of a season, Cycle 9, Tyra just couldn't go any lower if she tried - and look, she's already improving by picking some good looking candidates:

Seriously, this is probably the most modelesque group to date. I'm proud, Tyra! (Or just feeling bad for you for revealing you were lonely). Let's hope this cycle will be FAIR and the editing Sub-par at least!! And hell, I'll join the bandwagon of posting what I think the elimination order'll be, based on their first individual shots alone -- nothing like friendly competition, eh, four four? And then I'll probably do another after the pilot/makeover episodes, depending on how much time I have/how much I'll care on February 20th.

I'll edit this space when I'm done with ordering them~

Speaking of reality tv, American Idol's back on. I didn't watch the last two seasons too closely, but I'll try to tune in on this one -- hopefully we'll get some really good talent this go 'round -- and the person pegged the 'winner' actually WINNING this time (:cough:daughtry:cough:melinda:cough:). I also heard that My_ network is hosting Paradise Hotel 2 which is awesome! I use to watch that series waay back in the day over the summer and during the fall - it was SO addicting and hilarious xD Hope they don't screw it up.

Well, I'm trying out this new Xanga Private Page for a few days. The verdict? It is... alright. Maybe I'm just old school, but I find it very cluttered. I mean, I do like the aspect of seeing my subscriptions and updates on it, but why is EVERYTHING else on here? I'm just a simple girl..

ANYway... first week of class! Hee~ I've got all morning classes this time around, with the exception of one in the evening. All of them but one are in classrooms I've already been to, so I didn't have to go searching but once (more on that later...).

Nothing much to say of the teachers except... my adolescent Psych teacher sucks. Well okay, she doesn't suck, but she pales in comparison to my previous teacher. You see, I realize I don't really enjoy teachers who just stand at their podium and read their notes, then go to the next slide, and repeat. And that's exactly what she does, so it's so freaking dull. And then, because she's just reading through the notes, she always finishes before we're done writing them down. Now, they are already half-assed notes, but then you wanna go through so fast we can't even get that? My other Psych teacher talked to us. You could tell she really liked her job and knew it -- not simply reciting notes. I wish she taught more classes T_T

That's about it, when it comes to teachers -- oh yeah, one more thing. I think all City teachers (Did I mention I have to retake that? My old teacher ran off and left me with an I. Asshole. But I met 4 other people from that class so I'm not the only one) have a problem with talking and going off tangent. But at least I can hear this guy - and he has an awesome boston accent and seems nice ^-^

What else? Ah, I am officially super organized now!! I've got four freaking calenders - yes, four - a normal monthly one I bought to support a webartist that's for holidays, birthdays, and just normal stuff; a daily calender so I can set a schedule for when to do what; a monthly calender so I know all my exam dates and when projects are due; and an agenda for all that AND doodles, that I can carry with me.

Why all this? I refuse to miss my straight As this semester - I want it and I'm getting it this go 'round. No more bullshit, this is for life. I've got plans and I have to be good at what I do to get the money I need to do those things (not to mention, really knowing my stuff so I can be just as good as my other Psych teacher and really LOVE my job). I also I have to get close to a teacher this semster, because I need a teacher recommendation for the summer thing I wanna do -- ah, ah, ah shhh....... no more on that now.

Man, school wasn't suppose to take up that much space. Me and rambling, gah...

Back at school. Break went by SO fast... but I'm actually glad I'm back. I was dwindling down, doing nothing back at home except watch babies, clean the house, wash and read. What era am I in again? I did go out with friends and shop and drive every so often, but not nearly as much as I wanted. Meh. I'm hoping when Spring Break comes we can go out and do something, some tomo and I. I have the strangest urge to go to Busch Gardens -- and that only had 5 rides and alot of walking! But I really wanna go. It's been what, 6 years? You can only go to King's Dominion so many times before it gets a little old. But back to the point -- I'd like to go out and do something really fun for a change and with people I like to be with, and what better place than a theme park. Let's hope it happens, nee?

I've gotta get up at 6, so I'm out for the night. Oyasumi nasai~

Well last night was fun. I talked to Shin after a long time.. on and offline :) It was really different, but great at the same time. We're planning on doing it more often, which is so good cause he'll be deploying in a few months and hey, I love keeping in touch with my tomo's. Some of us don't talk nearly as much as we should, and it sucks ya know (and it's my fault half the time...)? Even worse when you lose contact 'cause who knows when you'll see them again, if at all? Yeah, that's what myspace is for, but eeeww myspace...

But yeah. Gonna go do something productive. It's suppose to be a really nice day today, and I don't wanna miss out!

-Do something with my hair -- It's so blah now, I need something that'll last for awhile and still look nice (I kinda wanna just cut most of it off, but I'm sticking to my grow-it-out plan for better or for worse!)

-Alexandra's birthday party -- Can't do much about it as the date is set

-Go grocery shopping -- Being broke and having no food is no fun in Richcity. And I've had hamburger helper without the hamburger... and I wanna go there again. Bleah~ :0

-Get to the bookstore...alone -- I need like 5 personal reading books, and I've needed to get them since October. I also need to go without someone moaning in my ear how bored they are every 5 minutes, just in case I wanna stick around and find another book, y'know?

This would be easier if I had a car :/ Ah well, Proj. Runway's on, I'm out~

PS --Gossip Girl was SOO good tonight! I knew what that whore Jenny was going to do the minute I saw her listening in on Serena telling Dan about Blair's drama. Ugh... I mean, I know Blair was being a bitch to you, but come on... blackmail is so much more funner! You pulled the trigger the minute you got the gun instead of torturing the lil wench. Meh.

I haven't read the books, so I dunno what's going to happen. I'm kinda rooting for Blair though :p But damn the CW for always pushing new episodes back further and further. Don't they realize there's really nothing else to watch on Wednesdays?

Man, the weather is so crazy these days. Yesterday I was helping Cat and Roy move out Cat's stuff from her apartment to storage and it was like 65, out there It's suppose to be near 70 today! I haven't stepped out yet so I can't tell - but sure is windy tho.

Speaking of Cat, Happy Birthday!!! Your last day of freedom before 6 months in the Army's clutches :0!!!

While waiting for Heap's new cd, I've been checking out her old collaborations with other people and remixes and stuff. I already heard 'Blanket' from her and Urban Species, and that was pretty hot so I came in with an open mind. In doing so, I also found a collab with Kate Havnevik, so of course I had to listen to it too. The Verdict:

Embers of Love -- It's sounds very post-iMegaphonish, but it's nice (not saying I don't like iMeg, but since I started with Details, I had to get use to the more angsty iMeg). The chorus is really memorable, and while I was driving back and forth yesterday I kept humming or just thinking "I will remember, I will remember... I will remember these embers of love..."

Only This Moment -- This is from Kate Havnevik and Royksopp. The music has a electronica-feel and is almost techno sounding. Kate's part in it sounds pretty, and Royksopp's makes me want to look up more songs from him. The part they sing together is probably my favorite - very very nice. It's one of those songs I wish you had the lyrics 'cause I wanna sing along :3

Mic Check -- Now I understand why I could never find lyrics for this even though it was released with 'Headlock'. I assumed it was another but, but it's just completely acapella sounds immi sings, with the exception of 'mic check' being thrown in there rhythmatically. It's kinda quirky yet soft. I could hear it being played when someone has just gotten a grand idea during some montage scenes of them tinkering with it. Make sense???

Headlock High Contrast Mix -- High Contrast remixes 'Headlock' and it's almost pure gold. Seriously, the only gripe I have is the beginning 'cause it feels longer than it is, and the vocals are too spaced out. Otherwise, it's really catchy and technoy and... good. lol, I think what makes it really work is that it's not the entire song, it's just the beat, the chorus, and the hook. Total awesomeness.

Fixing Up A Love Connection -- A mix of Frou frou, Madonna, Stereo MC's, Dizee Rascal by DJ Earworm. The Frou frou part (and the basic melody of the song) is from Holding Out for a Hero. Although the frou frou vocals are kinda low, I really like this - it's catchy and has a nice beat. And DJ Earworm is kinda hawt ~^_^~

Let Go (cover) -- Covers are cool, but the immi ones usually don't do justice to the original. This one, from Boys Like Girls, is an exception. The singer even does the little vocal nuances immi does in the original that makes you shiver. Seriously, that's one of the amazing little things about the song and it works with this guy's voice nicely. Great job.

Meantime -- I think this was immi's first collab with Guy? If so, it's no wonder they went ahead and did Frou Frou (*edit, it's not. but damn if it didn't give them a surer sign* :p). The vocals, the music, the lyrics.... "Will be the next love be the real one? Will be the next love be the real one? Will be the next love be the real one?", "Lalelalelaleleh, Lelalelaleleh/Hmhm-Hmhm-Hmhm-Hmhmm, mmHmhm-Hmhm-Hmhm ".... total magic. It's rather suggesting, too heheh.

Let Go (solo piano) -- Like with the rest of her live work she changes up the lyrics a bit. Since I know the cd lyrics better, it does trip me up a bit when she does it, but it sounds good. I love towards the end, before she sings " 'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown" for the last time when she sorta harmonizes with her voice with the music.

Now. It's fast and easy way to do something productive in the world without paying a cent. I'm talking about a quick lil' vocabulary game that donates 20 grains of rice to the United Nation's World Food program for every correct answer you have. Once you're on a roll, it really racks up, and this is a great way to spend time if you're bored, or have to take the SAT sooner or later (believe me, quite a few of these words were on mine). Also good to test out those latin and greek roots you learn in English class (Or in my case, Government... don't ask) in case you have a weekly test or something.

So yeah... no 'but's' about it - just DO it for 2 minutes, dammit!

So Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone came on today, and I just happen to come in at one of my least favorite parts. You know, towards the end when Harry and Ron are stuck in the Devil's Snare and are totally panicking? And then Hermione tells them to shut up and sit still? Well it's the moment right after they fall through...

Ron: Good thing we didn't panic!
Harry: (sternly) Good thing Hermione pays attention in Herbology.

Oh, screw you Harry. You just have to rain on Ron's parade. Gaah. Why was that line in there in the first place? For once, Ron got a moment where people weren't laughing at him cause of those weird faces he makes, and because he was funny! Harry responding back so seriously just ruins the moment. Hell having Hermione say it would've been a better choice, but noooo... give it to Harry, who would've normally thought it was funny, or not respond at all.

How was everyone's first day of 2008 btw? My aunt cooked the same thing she cooked for christmas dinner, and we just got finished with those leftovers so.... I'm kinda tired of ham, mac 'n cheese and greens. Looks like that's all I'll be getting tomorrow though, 'cause I'm broke, there's no cereal, and my rat or a sister Passion and Ashley from the last post snuck in while I was sleep and ate my leftover pizza. I mean DAMN, this was an hour before Aunt Boosie called everyone for dinner and you guys kinda sorta forgot I'll be rideless, penniless, and alone tomorrow while they're laughing their way all the way to work and school and devoured my booty (not like I need it, but dammit it was mine!! :'()

In other news... my friend just had a baby and it's just not sinking in on me. I mean I've seen the pictures of the kid, I saw her herself in a hospital bed and her fiance in his delivery room gear, but my mind just can't put 2 and 2 together. I guess it's cause I didn't see her in the real pregnant pregnant stages... and frankly, it's just weird that this was the same girl from last year saying she was a total virgin. But then again, I met alot of those, and quite a few turned into real easy chicks in a matter of months. Oh well... I know she's not like that, and she's engaged to the guy and is staying in school so... congrats and happy days, much yeah?
